« on: Friday 08 May 09 12:36 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I'm looking for the birth of a Sarah Wale b c1790. Her father was Henry Wale, a farmer from Shepshed. Also Henry's marriage but I don't know his wife's name.

Thank-you
Brie

Thanks Mike,

That's brilliant. If I have counted correctly Henry and Mary are my 5g grandparents.

Thanks again

Mike,

Following your information about Henry's wife's name I have just been looking at their children on the IGI. On one extracted record there is a Beebby Wales b christened 6/5/1795 Shepshed.

Because of this I have just looked for a Beeby/Wale marriage and found one (an extracted record so I'm trusting is accurate) between Henry Wale and Mary Beeby 20th October 1785 Hoby Leicester. This seems likely although the first child I have (from the IGI list I've just been looking at Batch no. C061062) was not born for six years. Of course this may be so or they may have lived somewhere before Shepshed.

Am continuing to delve

Brie
