1861 census look up please.

Could someone look on the 1861 census for Owston Ferry and find me James Isle born 1854, living in the household of Robert Nelson.
Does it give Hull as the place of birth for James, and what relationship does it give for him to Robert?

Yes he's down as Nephew and born in Hull age 7.

I thought that I'd got the right information, but I can't trace a birth for him at all.

Father in law is Angelo Rampoldi -
 Mary Nelson was born Marena Rampoldi.
 Elizabeth Rampoldi was born Elizabeth Isle

I can't fit James in at all, as Marena appears to have been a twin - the other one died at birth and I can't find any more siblings who could have been James's mother!

Yes, I had got that thanks Treelover. I'm working on the theory that James must have been Marena's illegitimate child born before she married Robert Nelson in 1856.
The name Isle obviously comes from Elizabeth's family, not Robert's. and as Marena appears to have been Elizabeth and Angelo's only surviving child - unless Elizabeth had another child before she married Angelo in 1835 , I can't see any other solution!

James ISLE (wid) married Elizabeth HATTERSLEY 2 Sept 1832 Althorpe

James ISLE buried 25 June 1834 (72!)

James ISLE married Mary LEGGOTT 28 Jan 1800 Althorpe ... a few kids bap at Crowle perhaps

Harriott ISLE 21 was in Hook, Yorks in 1851 - birthplace given as Hawthorpe (Yorks) - the hilliterate haitch strikes again! :D

1856 she married James PARKIN and is to be found in Hook in 1861 as PARKING - birthplace given as Derrythorpe which is adjoining Althorpe. Map http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=483256&Y=409719&A=Y&Z=120
