Deaths in Canada

Hi,
Can anyone advise me how to find details of two deaths which I believe took place in Canada sometime  after 1940.  I am trying to trace a family who emigrated to Canada at sometime in 1940.  Can't have been easy!  I know the lady and her son are now dead.  Is there somewhere I can look up deaths in Canada.

Hi Donut and welcome to rootschat. 

My knowledge of Canadian research is somewhat limited but I do know that it the records seem to be organised by Province.

Can you tell us which Province your people emigrated to?
If you give us the  names on your people  then some of those who are knwledgeable about Canadian genealogy may be able to hlp you further.

Names, places and dates are key facts in getting lookups and help.

As Charlotte has said, most of the Canadian records are organised by Province. I'm not sure when the online death records end but I do recall having problems and members of the Canadian board found burial records for me  It might be worth having a look here for the available resources:
