Help!

Thomas YOUNGER bn Warkworth abt 1807 married Dorothy GRAY Bn Gosforth abt 1808 At Newcastle upon Tyne 15 November 1831

I have found one child Dinah bn about 1841,  at Hetton Le Hole, in 1881 who is married to John ASHURST.

Would some kind person find her on the 1851 Census please?  Dorothy her mother died Tynemouth in 1849 according to Free BMD.

Her father remarries but she is not on the 1861/1871 Census with him.  He is with her as a widower in 1881!

Are you certain Dinah's mother was Dorothy????

there is a Thomas Younger with wife Dorothy in 1861 census in Tynmouth - but no child called Dinah

it looks like Dinah was the daughter of thomas Younger and Ann????

Thomas Younger is with wife Ann from 1841-1871 census - then Ann died 1879- so Thomas went to daughter Diana

what is confusing there is a Thomas younger married to Dorothy - and some of the children have similar names to Thomas/Ann's children - however there is no sign of them having a daughter Diana

There is a baptism on IGi - but it is member submitted -so has to be treated with caution

Thank you very much for this.  I will check the marriage details again. They are from my Vital Records Index.

I am tracing my gt gt gt grandmother Dinah ROSS bn 1774, bn to Dorothy HARDY and Matthias ROSS.

 A Wee Snippet.
At first glance the recorded places of birth for Ralph ( C1841-not born in county(NBL), C1851- Bedlington, NBL) looks contradictory.

However there are compatible as Bedlington was officially part of County Durham in 1841. Reverted back to Northumberland in 1844.
