Found a Maria Cronin, unassisted passanger age 20 arriving melbourne mar. 1862 on the Marco Polo

The only Alfred Langley found assisted or unassisted was mar 1890 on the austral and no age.  Too late a date.  Wonder if he was forced to come over?

Maybe he came via another state....or was just listed as A Langley or Mr Langley. Or maybe he came as a small child with his parents.

She was supposedly only 31 when she died in 1888.....

I can't find a marriage for Alice Maude Langley to a Whyte.

I did however find the following....just in case she married twice..... 


Alice Maud LANGLEY married Robert BARTLETT in 1915

Details on their way from Melb. as we speak but by snail mail. 

With regards to Ward Mitchell, Boston, Linc. 
He had four children:  John Ward 1837 abt
                                   William Ward 1841
                                   Information on others on way

Father:  Richard Ward and Mother: Mary Mitchell
Just found relative in Britain with direct lineage to William Ward and will be contact with them shortly.  They said Ward Mitchell was a pothoumus baby.  They all lived in Carrington village near Boston.  That there is a company he owned called Wards, Seed merchantsetc and it's still there and trading.

Means that Ward Mitchell was born after the death of father Richard Ward.  Father died in 1810 and Ward was born in 1811.  Which quarter I don't know.  He was the only child of the relationship and mostly the reason Mary Mitchell never married.  Seems that the family name of Mitchell comes from Mary the mother.
