(Lancs) 1841/1851/1861 Census Lookup Requests Please For Charles Rossiter

Hi,

I am doing a one name study of the Rossiter family and am looking for information please about the parents, grandparents, siblings and children of Charles Rossiter baptised on 02 NOV 1846 at Saint Andrew's Ancoats, Manchester.

Parents are belived to be Charles and Margaret Rossiter but I have no further information about them.

Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Fingers crossed I'm not jumping the gun with this, but have you seen the following death, hopefully someone else can find Charles, if not, it could be one to be considered .. ?

Thanks for that.

At this stage I know so little about him that I'm not ruling anything out.

I just want to link him to his parents as this is a line I know little about.

There is the possibility that he coulkd be linked to a Liverpool family and I need to resolve issue that one way or another.

I can't find any of them in 1851 - although of course having said that, they could well be in the Manchester Unfilmed,  although they don't immediately show up on the index for that 

I saw the death that Pels. found 

I can't see a Charles in 1841 - to be the father  -  but I did find this family in 1861:

But  -  I can't find a Charles Rossiter death to fit with Mary being born c. 1851

There is a Christening for Mary on the IGI 15/5/1849 St, Andrews, Ancoates

Many thanks for the posts.

There are IGI records for Charles and Mary. I'm not sure at this point if Mary and Mary Jane are the same person.

The Liverpool connection via Thomas is interesting because there is a marriage in the Sept Qtr of 1844 in Liverpool between a Charles Rossiter and Margaret Matthews.

The death of Charles the son in 1846 could well be right and explain why he is not there in 1861.

However, I cannot find a death for Charles the father between 1851 to 1861 which makes me wonder if the family posted is the right one.

Not sure where that leaves us now.
