Thanks for the info. last two could be a possible link - As I don't know when or where James Jones b1869/70 Aberdare married and if it was before or after 1901 census.

Don't know if 1911 census Wales will help me find out James' first wifes' name - I'm hoping the son they had will be living with James and 2nd wife

Found marriage entries on BMD for James Jones with Louisa Grace Martin Sept 1899 Pontypridd and with Emma Hughes Sept. 1894 M/T
