Are you getting a cream coloured search box or a green one?  If it is cream - this is the "fix"

Quote
In order to switch back to the old search experience you will need to be on the Search tab. On this page you will see a cream colored line that will say More relevant search results have arrived Learn more. To the far right of this line it will say Old Search underlined. Click there to switch back to the old experience.

Dont know why they had to change it all - too complicated and confusing now.
I really DONT WANT all these silly search gimmicks. I just want to be able to have access to the various records and LOOK MYSELF.

Sorry - just felt like a rant about it.

It looks to me as though you have the "silly search" screen which throws up hundreds of "possibles" whether you want them or not.  I don't use it as it is confusing and time consuming

I could not agree more with Liz - if it ain't broke - don't fix it.

Ancestry seem hell bent on making searching as complicated as possible with all their "new" methods

Looks to me like the old pages used to look, before it all changed recently to this yellow 'spread out' set up, that goes off the sides of the page.
I dont get that button anymore.
Preferred the old  black and white straightforward list myself.

If it's any comfort, Woody ... I use the same screen as you and can't click on the link either :)
(Not that I had ever used it before - I always scroll down to the refine search box at the bottom of the page, and it's still there for me now)
