if you go to the Convict register at the Queensland State Library http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/coll/fh/convicts

and enter Buckland, there are a number of them listed, but one is convicted at Bucks. He may just be your man.

"Abraham Buckland, one of 180 convicts transported on the Waterloo, 12 March 1829.
Details: Sentence details: Convicted at Bucks Assizes for a term of life. -- Vessel: Waterloo. -- Date of Departure: 12 March 1829. -- Place of Arrival: New South Wales. -- Source: Australian Joint Copying Project. Microfilm Roll 89, Class and Piece Number HO11/7, Page Number 1"

If this is him, there is a possible death listed in the NSW BDM's at http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/familyHistory/search.htm

Father: Unlisted (however in this spot is AGE 40 )
Mother: Unlisted
District : Unlisted
