Is Llangyfelach a real place? COMPLETE
« on: Friday 29 May 09 11:09 BST (UK) »
and if so, which parish in Monmouth is it located?  apparently my GGGGrandfather died in 1848 (ca) Cwmgelli Cottages, Treboeth Llangyfelach, Glamorgan, Wales.

His name was William Morgan Jnr.  If anyone has info about him I'd also like it.  B. Llantrissent 16 Aug 1807. Married Elizabeth Gale.  They had two sets of twins - Edwin and Sarah in 1830 and James and Thomas in 1840 (and other children too!).  Edwin also had a set of boy/girl twins.  he came to NZ when the twins were 2 years old.

Cheers, Karin

Hi Karin,

It seems to exist in Glamorgan (not Monmouthshire) according to Genuki

WOW - that was quick.  And I get it now - Glamorgan is the county I was meant to be looking in rather than Monmouth!

Thanks - I appreciate your help.  And I was just off to bed ... I guess I'll be up another couple of hours now   ;D
