I am trying to find information about William Innes who came from Sutherland to Tombreakachie in Glenlivet sometime before 1624.  Before this he had been factor to the Countess of Sutherland.  Only other info I have is that he had a son John who joined the Covenanters.  He also had 3 daughters.  Not much to go on but if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Pat

There is a letter possibly written by the son John in 1683 held by the National Archives of Scotland. Ref GD16/51/39

Tombreckachie still stands, looking much as it did in the 1840s by the look of the maps, the current road B9008 runs past it.

One possibility for a daughter could be "Jonet Innes" who married  James Corser in Inveravon in 1649 (IGI extracted)

Useful links for the area if you don't already have them:
