Faded writing
« on: Saturday 30 May 09 21:26 BST (UK) »
The section i've copied here comes from a paper about an ancestors service in the navy. I can read the dates and the ships he was on but this   part is remarks about him and i can only make out part of it.

Well mannered, zealous? hard working--and the rest??

Any one with 20--20 eye sight? even with my magnifying glass i'm stumped!  poli

Hello Gadget, the original copy i got from National Archives was even more faded than the above.

I paid £3.50 for the download--i reckon they should only have charged me half that!! ::)  Thanks for your input--dying to know all it says. poli
