A date for this photo?
« on: Sunday 31 May 09 03:54 BST (UK) »
Hi all!
Here is what I know about this picture. The older girl sitting down is Mary, born in 1899. (my great aunt.) The boy is Richard, he was born in 1901. (great uncle.) The younger girl is their sister, but name and date of birth is unknown. She dies before 1911. I do know that this was taken before 1907, when my grandmother was born. Picture taken in Sunderland. I hope that helps! I have read some of the other posts, and you guys and gals are great!
Thanks!

thats all guesswork of course..

Xin,
That's what I was thinking, 6, 4 and possibly 3. 6 would put the photo at 1905. And yes, she does look scared, doesn't she? Poor Mary! Thanks for your help!

Hi Squirrel,

I would say about 1905/6 too, just a guesstimate you understand, the little boy looks about 4/5 to me. :-\

I am not good at aging girls!

Thanks Rabbit B!
I do agree, boys are easier than girls for me also!

Hi Squirrel69,

I guess that is because we are girls?   ;D ;D ;D

If that is a scratch I can see on the picture a restore would be good, but you would have to ask for it!

Them's the 'rools' you see, it is a lovely picture as well!
