I am the son in law of the late Aubrey Alfred Longmore B 1918 , ,in South Australia. Parents were George Longmore Circa 1869  born Laura,S.A.and Margaret Adelaide Brenand circa 1879,born Lochiel,S.A. They were married in 1907 and had at the time of A.A.Longmore's birth 6 other children( one deceased).
Any information on the Longmore's, parents, other children etc ,would be much appreciated.

There is no birth showing in SA  for George Longmore or Margaret Adelaide Brenand?

To both Jen and Grub. Caught me by surprise with your replies. No haven't heard anything positive re the Longmores, although I don't think you are correct Jen. My info regarding George and Margaret has been confirmed but nothing found re their parents.

By  the SA indexs there is no birth listed for any BRENAND  but there are a few BENNAND but no   birth for an Margaret Adelaide either
and  there are a few births for Longmores but no  George  but  he could be  one of  the children  whose first name was not recorded to Hugh LONGMORE and Jessie McIntyre no  that is not  the case  his father name is John.

The births may not have been recorded

No birth for either Margaret of George in the indexes Jenn...but there are these births with father Norman BRENNAND...and they moved about quite a lot!!

The only way you could get the total number of births to them would be to purchase a transcription of either of their death certs.  The SA certs do not name the children only number of issue living and deceased.

Margaret's birth would be possible with their marriage in 1888, her birth in 1889 and the next child in 1891.

Will have a look at the LONGMOREs.

I have trawled the indexes....there is no birth for a George LONGMORE c1879 [not 1869] in the South Australian Birth indexes.

Could this be him  ....but there are two are more births with the same surname
