The 1925 passenger list would appear to be the return from Ireland that was mentioned in George's obituary. I found a passport application for Richard dated 1924 and it has a picture of him and the children. Hanora is originally listed on it but then crossed off and there is a note that says "wife is not citizen" and her face was also removed from the picture with the children.
Richard Waters sailed on the Cymric which departed from Liverpool and arrived in Boston on 27 Jul 1911. He was 27, single, born in Wicklow and his last permanent residence was in Wicklow. He listed his nearest relative in the country he came from as brother – James Waters, Abbey Street, Wicklow. He was going to join a friend named John Bullard in Boston.
When he returned to Ireland, he departed from New York on the Carmania and arrived in Liverpool on 10 Aug 1913. His last permanent residence is listed as USA and his future permanent residence is listed as foreign country.
He and Hanora are on the Franconia which departed from Liverpool and arrived in Boston on 6 Nov 1913. Richard is 29, a silk weaver, born in Wicklow and his last permanent residence was Wicklow. He listed his nearest relative in the country he came from as sister – Mrs. T. O’Carroll, Summer Hill, Wicklow. His final destination is Hornell, New York. He indicates that he had been in the US before for 2 years. They are going to join his uncle Peter Haughton in Hornell. Honor Waters was 27 and born in Dublin. She hadn’t been in the US before but the other information is the same as what is listed for Richard.
