Confused???? thanks all "COMPLETED"

Hello all,
I have a Sanderson Spencer.
In the 1901 census aged 58 born east Rigton. B. 1844/5
In the 1891 census he is 46 from Yorkshire. B. 1844/45
In the 1881 census he is 37 from Thorner. B. 1843/44
In the 1871 he is aged 28.  B. 1842/3
In the 1861 he is aged 18 B. 1842/43
In the 1851 he is aged 8 B. 1842/43
Dates from census calculator
from freeBMD born oct-dec 1842 Tadcaster

Am I looking at 2 people here?? or bad information entered on census???

All the dates of birth are close enough for it to be the same person. It's not a common name so, unless you can see another possible contender, I'd be inclined to believe it is the same man.

I think it's just the one person.  I really wouldn't query such a small difference in birth age, some of mine go up and down 5/6 years at a time.

In fact I'd say Sanderson's is one of the most accurate I've seen

Agree wholeheartedly  and as there is only one of that name in the censuses; one in birth and death and two in marriages - presumably same person crossing over the pennines to marry then it looks a very safe bet.

where to hunt for the birth, Thorner or Tadcaster?

you can get the certificate - see Free BMD - as genjen says- Thorner is in Tadcaster reg district.
