Hi crab2,

Sorry, I don't have anything else I can add to this, I see the "A. Young" in the Upper Ward book but that's as far as my information goes!
Andrew is not listed in the Carnwath Burial Register (1826 - Dec 1854) which makes me think he may not have been buried in that parish.
Paterson, Torrance, Gilchrist - Hamilton Lanarkshire.
McCallum - Oban, McKechnie - Ross of Mull Argyll.
Scrim - Perthshire.
Liddell - Polmont,
Binnie - Muiravonside Stirlingshire.
Curran, McCafferty, Stevenson, McCue - Co Donegal
Gibbons, Weldon - Co Mayo.
Devlin - Co Tyrone.
Leonard - County Donegal & Glasgow.

The A. Young headstone in Carnwath may not be your Andrew, if he died in Libberton

We don't know where he died, I have the church graveyards booklets for Walston, Libberton, Carnwath and although it gave me more info to add to the tree for other family members it just doesn't have Andrew in any of them. He is a major Brickwall and one I feel is not going to come crashing down anytime soon
