Tegan- was their son William Henry (born 1857) born in Scotlnd? Scottish birth certificates list date and place of parents' marriage which is what you need to start searching for further information.
See www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk for what details are on Scottish certificates and how to purchase credits to view them.

When is the first instance you've found William Henry in Scotland? his marriage 1912? 1901 census? etc.

There doesn't seem to be a marriage for a Jane Delmore in Irish civil records (Catholic marriages from 1864, other marriages from 1845) so the possibilites are:
1) marriage took place outside Ireland
2) it was a Catholic marriage which took place before 1864
3) it was a non-Catholic marriage before 1845
4) Jane's name wasn't Delmore at the time of the marriage
5) Jane's surname is mis-indexed
6) Jane wasn't married

So, do you know what religion the family would have been?

I have william henry on the 1901 census, living in glasgow. he is down as william. and was married to a susan hillock at that time, his birth place is Ireland.
The family were protestant and william henry was born around 1857 ish??
I would like to thank you for all your assistance.

Assuming 1901 census is correct and William Henry's born in Ireland c1857 there will be no birth certificate for him (registration of births started in 1864). For pre-registration dates you need to search for church records (of they exist) but until you know where they lived in Ireland, and their religion, you can't start looking in Ireland.
Have you checked pre-1901 Scottish census records to see if William Henry's parents also went to Scotland?
