falloon/shaw family

Patrick Falloon, parents Patrick Falloon and Sarah Hamilton, married Elizabeth Shaw, parents William Shaw and Marian Nisbet, in Kilbirnie in 1890.  They had 3 children Mary, Patrick and William all born in Ayrshire.  They moved to Lanarkshire possibly 1900's and stayed in Glasgow and Airdrie

Looking for others who maybe researching the same families

I am searching for Shaws of Ayrshire. John Shaw was born abt 1839 in Irvine, Ayrshire and travelled to NZ around 1864. We are not sure of his parents or siblings. Father may be William - but not confirmed. Not sure if it links in with your Shaws.

From the 1861, census index, we have,

Faloon Patrick, age 35y, Kilbirnie, born Ireland,
Faloon Sarah, age 34y, Kilbirnie, Born Ireland,
Faloon Jane, age 14y, Kilbirnie, Born Ireland,
Faloon Mary, age 14, Kilbirnie, Born Kilbirnie.

From the IGI, these births,
Fellon Sarah, 04/dec/1857, Kilbirnie, Ayr,
Filoon Rebecca, 11/Oct/1859, Kilbirnie, Ayr,
Filloon Patrick, 17/Feb/1861, Kilbirnie, Ayr,
Filoon Patrick, 06/Apr/1865, Kilbirnie, Ayr.

These four births to father Patrick, and mother Sarah Hamilton.

Sarah, Rebecca, and the first Patrick, all seemed to have died young as they are not on the census.

Hi just read your posting

The name falloon is my gg grandfathers mothers  maidenname- we are from  Ayrshire-havent done much research as such but can tell you we are from lanarkshire area, coatbridge , airdrie, some of the are associated with family names grimley, Erly,
