Death lookup 1964-1984 Abingdon area PLEASE!

Hi There,

Please if possible, can some kind sole do a lookup on the death of my great uncle Hector Alfred McFarling between 1964-1984 in the Abingdon area.

In an earlier lookup, i had the dates from 1958-1964, and i may have been incorrect, Hector was born in 1901 on St.Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands.

You will need to search the full GRO index  which is available at your nearest main library on microfilm or fiche.  It can also be searched online if you have an Ancestry subscription or at www.findmypast.com which is a paysite

Searching a period of 21yrs is an extremely time consuming task as it involves downloading the GRO image for every quarter of every year searched - in this case that would involve downloading and searching 84 images

I notice you live in Farnham so this info may be of help to you re: Farnham library.  It may be advisable to ring them first to see if you have to book a reader machine
