Hi Andrew

Welcome to Rootschat!

We have exchanged messages about John Rogers on another board, where I thought we'd decided that John was unlikely to have been from Campton. Weren't they married in Croydon Cambs, rather than Potton, which is where they baptised their children?

I'm on holiday at the moment but will be home tomorrow, where I'll have a think, but I have a feeling that I'd gone as far as I could go - did Croydon parish register add anything?

Dear David,

I don't remember a previous contact. Could have been my cousin Richard, or his son - also Andrew Rogers.

Any ideas would be most welcome. So far we have not been able to find old John's parents or place of birth...

Best regards,

Andrew (the Bangkok one!)

Hi Andrew

There was an andrewfr from Bangkok on http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28072&page=2 which I assumed was you.  That thread sums up what we found about the Campton John Rogers, but all the indications were that your John Rogers was probably from Cambs

Leaving for the airport in an hour. I'll have another look when I get home
