Keston, marriages and deaths.

I'm looking for the record of the marriage of George Beadle (b.1800/01 in Cudham) of Keston, nr Bromley, Kent -
to Elizabeth (possibly Richardson) (b. 1804?? in Croydon, Surrey). Also any references to their deaths.

According to the 1861 census, they lived in Keston Common with 6 children:
Thomas Beadle b. 1856, Keston
Amos Beadle b. 1851, Keston
Selina Beadle b. 1849, Keston
Edwin Beadle b. 1849, Keston
Davids Beadle b. 1844, Keston
James Beadle b. 1835, Keston
I'm interested in any marriage or death records for these children. I only know about Amos, who went to India in around 1870. Are the children too old to be George and Elizabeths?

I take it you got the possible surname of Richardson from the IGI records?

Hi Woody - stupidly, i found the reference when I first started exploring, and didn't make a note of where i got it from - it was a marriage record between George Beadle and Elizabeth Richardson, in 1826 in Surrey, at the John the Baptist Church. I know that the Elizabeth that George married was born in Croydon, Surrey (census 1861).

in Reigate March Qtr 1882 which would fit her age.

Just what I needed. Now, if i got certificates of their deaths, would they offer me anymore info about them? How would I go about this?

informant (possible relative)
place of death
approximate age at death
cause of death

you can order them from..
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

they cost £7.00 each and you have to register.

if you go to http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

and search for the person you want...
for example Elizabeth Beadle..you would find a few hits..

the one most likely to be yours (not 100% certain)

would be the one in 1882..
