Eastry Union Workhouse
« on: Thursday 09 July 09 12:55 BST (UK) »
I recently started my family research and find my roots are in Eastry/Gt Mongeham, Kent. My great grandfather, William Drake, died in January 1900 in the Eastry Workhouse. I would be grateful if someone could advise me where I can view the Admission/Creed registers. I will soon be travelling to Canterbury to view the pre 1837 parish records, so will be in the area then.
Many thanks
Larry Gordon

Hello Larry

You may find this site useful - it is a wonderful resource for information on workhouses.

It looks like you need to visit the Centre for Kentish Studies in Maidstone.
