Robert Spooner 1793-1849
« on: Thursday 16 July 09 15:36 BST (UK) »
I have the above info from a headstone in the Protestant graveyard in Kilmeague, Kildare.  On the same headstone is his wife Bridget. Would anyone have info on this family going back or on the maiden name of Bridget.
I have a lot of info on the family since then (mainly from previous posts) but am finding it difficult to progress any further into the history of the family.  I know of only one son to this couple - Thomas 1812-1884 - my GGGgrandfather.

Rory
Talbot (Kildare/Dublin), Peppard (Wicklow/Carlow/Dublin), Gilman(Carrick-on-Suir), Gaffney, Spooner, Kavanagh, Foley (Kerry/Cork), Sullivan (Cork), Torbet (Edinburgh), Hennessey (Carrick-on-Suir)

I see this post is quite old, but in case you're still out there... FamilySearch says Richard, Robert, and John are also children of Robert's. No maiden name for Bridget on that site. Thomas Spooner (1812) looks to be my GGG Grandfather.
