I googled for sharoe green but It is just coming up with pictures of the main hospital, not the maternity unit. The maternity unit is behind the main hospital.

I am almost sure it is a separate building.

I have tried on a couple of sites but had no luck

Does anyone know if the building is still standing???

Hi Nessie

My children were born at Sharoe Green Hospital, it was situated behind the main hospital. My older sons were born in a single story Victorian building, completely seperate from the main hospital and my younger son and daughter were born in the newer Maternity Unit, both have now been demolished.

The new Maternity Unit at the Royal Preston Hospital is called the Sharoe Green Unit and is also situated behind the main hospital.

I will try and find some photographs
