Carlyon Bay
« on: Saturday 25 July 09 09:00 BST (UK) »
I believe Carlyon Bay is near St Austell, and I am researching my children's line which includes a line-up of Carlyons. They have William Carlyon of Tregrehan who married Catherine Dellmayne, he was a son of William Carlyon of St Austell.
Is Carlyon Bay named after a family and is it possible it is this family.
King William.

think it's more likely to be the other way around - the family called after the place
