Restore and date please!

This photo was found with my grandparents' possessions. My mother thought it resembled her grandmother Charlotte and so we wondered if it was Charlotte's mother Sophia. My mother's cousin also thought it looked like someone related to Charlotte. However Charlotte's daughter didn't think it looked like Sophia because the photo is dated pn the back 06/11/1942 and Sophia died 19/07/1942.

I think above the date on the back of the photo it says the word copy so I wonder if my grandmother had a copy made shortly after Sophia died?

Sophia was 68 when she died in 1942 - do people think this lady looks about this age and date? Can someone clean and restore the photo and maybe add a little colour if they like? Thanks

The date on the back would be the date the film was printed...if Sophia died in July and the film wasn't finished and sent to the developers until November...that would be kind of normal in my experience. Rather speedy actually...I've had film in a camera for several years...

Thank you for all the restores - they make her a lot clearer, she just fades into the background in black and white.

China that makes sense about the film. I think she was in hospital from about June but the photo could even have been taken the year before.
