1871 Lookup Please - GRIFFITHS - Hadley

Please may I have an 1871 lookup for Selina Griffiths, born 1865 in Hadley.

I have found her in the 1881 census as a servant in Wellington

This is a very long shot - but it's the best I can come up with in 1871 .. Selina Jones, born Hadley .. she's the only Selina born around this time, with mother Ann.

I'm wondering whether Edward could have died at some point before 1871, there are a couple of deaths, but this one is a possiblity :

Death, Sept. qtr 1866
Edward Griffiths, age 27   
Wellington Sh.    6a   446

Ann may have consequently remarried and the enumerator written Selina as Jones instead of Griffiths ?

On the 1891 census :

RG12/2132, Folio 79, Page 13

There's a visitor staying with Ann and her family, Margaret Griffiths, again I'm wondering, if Margaret was in fact Ann's mother .. why didn't it say so ??

In 1861, Margaret had a son called Edward living with her. Problem is, according to the census, he was aged 28, so that doesn't tie in with the death.

Having said that, the 1841 census claims Edward was born in 1836.

I have a feeling there's a connection but I can't put my finger on it. I might be totally wrong ??

Still going round in circles, I've found William and Ann Jones in 1881 :

RG11/2680, Folio 43, Page 11

This is definitely the same family as in earlier returns, but if I can locate an Ann Griffiths, born Newdale in 1841, with a mother called Margaret .. it blows my theory away !!

If it's any help, Pels, I don't see a birth registration for an Ann Griffiths in that area at that time 

I can't find a marriage of Ann and Edward either though.
