Alfred Coventon or Covington

My 4x Great Grandfather is Alfred Coventon and born in 1832, I ordered his marriage certificate and it says his father is William Covington but he had dead before the wedding and can't find him. The wedding was 31st May 1853 to Diana Underwood. Alfred was a shoe maker

There are a lot of William Covington and I have no dates

Yes that is the Alfred that is in my family tree but I can't find him in a census with his dad William. I only have the marriage certificate for him and Diana

There are two William Coventon death registrations in Islington registration district before the 1841 census.

Deaths Sep 1839

Deaths Mar 1840

Which indicates that it may not be possible to find Alfred on any census with his father.

Hi

I have given the possible two marriages of Alfred's father William and the burials of William and his two wives, plus Alfred's own baptism. The burials indicate that both Alfred's parents were dead by the time of the 1841 census and Alfred was likely to have been brought up by relations.
