brick wall......cant find death of child

Im trying to find the death of a child. He was born in February 1949 and he died within 1 year of birth, he was born in West Bromwich so possibly died in same area. His name on the birth certificate was........Henry John Masters Philpott. He died suddenly. (cot death nowadays?). Would be grateful for any help...........thanks

He must have died older than that as there is no death reg in either 1949 or 1950 on the full GRO index
