brick wall-completed
« on: Saturday 15 August 09 00:50 BST (UK) »
I have been searching for a family on the censuses,
i  can find them on the 1891 census, but not on the 1901 or the 1911 census.

They are
maurice donovan, born in 1867,in chatham kent
johanna donovan, born in 1866 in pontllotyn
mary welsh,born1884,pontlottyn,from previous marriage
james welsh born 1885,pontlottynf,from previous marriage

Maurice donovan is on the 1881 and the 1891 census cant find him before or after that.

johannah donovan,I think i have found her on the 1871 and 1881 census her maiden name was fahey, cant find her after the1891 census.

mary welsh is on the 1891 census, cant find her after that.

james welsh is on the 1891 census cant find him after that.

maurice and johannah got married in 1890.
johannah was married to michael welsh before maurice donovan.

I have tried everything i can think of to find them,
if anyone has any ideas how i could find them that would be great thanks.

Have you tried O'Donovan - this sometimes works ..... I was researching my cousins family tree and their name is O'Driscoll but quite often I found it under Driscoll .....

I will try o'donovan,
but yeah they do seem to have just disappeared,
ive tried everyting i could think of, maybe they moved to ireland or england.

Someone who i forgot to mention was his brother john donovan,he was also living with maurice and johannah in the 1891 census.

I have found john donovan in the 1901 census, living in ebbw vale with mary collins who was their sister, but i cant find him on the 1911 census.
