The Le Bretton's
« on: Wednesday 02 March 05 17:15 GMT (UK) »
I am attempting to trace the family of Thomas Philip Le Bretton of Guernsey (b.1862) who married Jane Susan Bree (b.?) I do not know the marriage date. I have heard (on the family grape vine, or it may be wishful thinking ) that there is a link into the Rev.William Corbet Le Breton line!
Is this asking too much???

Regards
D. Boudin

Did the family stay on the islands? I can't find anyone matching this info on the 1871 Channel Islands census.

jbaz,

If your stories are correct and there is a connection to William C Le Breton, father of of Lily Langtry and  one time Dean of Jersey, then there should be a wealth of information available to you.

Lots of luck and happy  searching.

My husbands ggggrandfather worked for a Sir Thomas Le Bretton in Jersey at Bagatelle, not sure if that was the property name or place. that would be in the 1820's.
