Patrick Gilmore, born c.1870 - topical enquiry
« on: Tuesday 18 August 09 21:22 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I would be really glad if someone could please find any dates and/or information on this relative of mine.  He may have come from Ballynahinch, Co. Cown.  I know Patrick Gilmore married Elizabeth Crangle on 29-Sep-1898 in Belfast, where they resided in 31 Lowry Street (east Belfast).  I have no birth or death records for him.  Elizabeth and son left Belfast between 1900-10 to live with her brother in Ardglass.

I ask this because his son, John Joseph (Joe) Gilmore MBE 1900-45 will be honoured in Ardglass on 29 Aug '09 with a Blue Plaque on account of his pioneering aviation.

Many thanks! :-\

Hi OTTO

Thanks for the information, but particularly the point of having Patrick's father's name.  I have ordered the wedding details search and will get it within 20 days.

Hopefully this will give me the information I needed.  If not, I'll be posting another message here!

If you prefer to have the marriage details before 29th August, You can purchase these from www.ancestryireland.com (that is where maryderry got the fathers names from)for £4. The details you will receive will probably not be as comprehensive as the certificate you have ordered, but if you have a time frame, it should be worth it.
