I am trying to find the death of George Simmonds b.1806 at Terwick Sussex.I think his death was around 1862 at Terwick.Can someone confirm please.

Hi

There are lots of George Simmonds deaths in the 1860's in Sussex and unfortunately - the index does not show ages at death until the late 1860's so it is difficult to narrow it down

Is he the 1861 entry b Trotton and living in Rogate in 1861 - wife Jane?

If yes - then the registration district for his death would be Midhurst and this is the only entry for that district

does anyone know what housing existed on terwick common about 1890?the reason i ask is i am trying to trace my grandfather(alfred bartlett)and the 1891 census shows someone of that name .living there.i was told by my mother that her dad was a romany and was wandering if there wre any living"under the benders"on terwick common
