Residing at 9 James Street, Brithdir, Gelligaer on the 1901 Glamorgan census were
John Williams, head, 48, coal hewer, Talybont, Cardiganshire
Mary, wife, 38, Cardigan
Mary Ann, daug, 12, Edmundstown, Monmouthshire
Sophia, daug, 2, Edmundstown, Mon
John Johns, son, 6, Abercynon, Glam

Can someone please check the 1891census for John Williams [was John & Mary married previous?]  Would appreciate any help to sort this one out 
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

Where is Edmundstown in monmothshire?
 I have just answered my own question I have looked up your 1901 census  as I thought Edmunstown is in Glamorgan and If I am right its in the Rhondda.

Well you are right on this one, Edmondstown is in the Rhondda, sorry, didn't spot the deliberate mistake whilst typing it up.  As far as John Williams is concerned you've got the right family, right place.  Many thanks for the details.
