Mary MORIARTY  b. abt 1837 Listowel  d. 1873 Burrumbeet, Victoria, Aust. - parents John (Teacher) & Mary (possibly HUYER - I can't decipher the image which is a .pdf and when turned into a .jpg etc... is impossible to read)

Running No 361  Ballaarat  7 July 1862  John Hamilton  Bachelor  Nil - Co Down Ireland - 2966 -  Mounted Police Constable  26 - Creswick  Creswick -  James Hamilton  Farmer  Eleanor Newell
Mary Moriarty  Spinster  Listowell Co Kerry Ireland - Milliner  25 - Mair St  Ballaarat - John Moriarty  Teacher  Mary Huyer ?
Member of the Presbyterian Church - Manse, Soldiers Hill,  Ballaarat - J ? Henderson ? - Witnesses  Robert Manre ? & ? Moriarty

John HAMILTON & Mary named their children, James, John, Mary, & Ellen, which is a perfect fit, the four grandparents names.

There is a baptism but is 10 years out

There is also these two to the same couple

Hello Sue,

Thanks for looking.  I'd say the ages are 26 and 25 in 1862 in the marriage certificate. I know John was born on 1 Jan 1836 in Co Down from his R.I.C. and Victoria Police records. I don't have his birth or that of his siblings. Just the usual with Irish ancestry. The HAMILTONs were strongly Presbyterian.
