My gg.grandfather was Joseph YARWOOD (Hatter) b. ca 1805 St Saviour, Southwark, m. Rebeckah Georgaina ROWE on 23 Apr 1823 at St Saviour. They had 11 kids
Child 6 (Matilda Amelia b.183 Southwark) was my g.grandmother. She m. Thomas WALL (Plumber) on 02 May 1858. They had 8 kids, no. 5 Frederick Henry WALL being my grandfather.
Joseph and Rebeckah lived in London (Shoreditch, Lambeth, Southwark) in the 1820s/30s then to Stockport, Cheshire in 1840s, then back to London 1850s thru 70s. (Cale Green in Stockport was busy hat-making centre)
Joseph and Rebeckah's children tended to move frequently between London and Liverpool. Hatters, glass workers and a few musicians dominate the family trades.
Joseph and Rebeckah's first child, Joseph John (b.1824 Southwark) had 7 kids, the first born of those (also named Joseph John) was born in Scotland in 1853. He's the only Scottish link I've found to date.
My line (WALL) came to Oz in the 1920s.
