Herbert Webster Green and Florence Helen Webb
« on: Saturday 12 September 09 23:46 BST (UK) »
Hi!

I'm trying to get information on these people who were married in Sept 1902 in Bucklow (8a 402).

I believe he was a clergyman.

They had a son George Webster Green who adopted the name Armour later in life.
They lived in Sandbach around 1939.

Can anyone help? Any assistance gratefully received.

AlfD

Have you looked for them on the 1911 census?

According to freebmd - Herbert was b 1867 in Stoke on Trent Staffordshire

They are in Congleton in 1911 and have another son Edward b 1911

Florence was b 1874

Hi allibaker!

I've found Herbert Webster Green attributed in 4 censuses as born in Staffordshire: Fenton abt 1868.
I have him married to Florence Helen Webb in 1902 by when he was a clergymen. I've nothing after that event in Bucklow, Cheshire.
I've similarly nothing later on his wife. That's the gap for me at the moment.

I'll keep pegging away, but any advice, suggestions or whatever would be welcome.

One thing: I'm not up to treading trails through churches and houses. I'm more stuck online.
Alf

Hi!

I've now got the 1911 census material which ties the family group together very nicely.

For the moment, my focus will move elsewhere. Thanks for your help.
