Migration from Crediton
« on: Wednesday 23 September 09 21:02 BST (UK) »
A number of my Quick families, who had lived in Crediton from the mid 1750's migrated to London between 1841 and 1851. Their trades were whitesmiths and shoemakers and in London some were connected with the railways while others became butchers and trades like ironmongers. Does anyone know why they would have gone to London?
Many thanks
Pam
