i am looking for any bostocks in the sussex area pre 1935.  Two sons charles and william.  William married Hilda Knight in Surbiton Surrey around 1935.  I have no info on any previous family at the moment but hope to acquire some in the near future.

If you look at the index for the 1901 census, which is free, (www.census.pro.gov.uk) there are 30 odd Bostocks in Sussex.     You need to get certificates to know who their parents are.    We have some Bostocks in Hampshire in our extended family tree.   I have various Sussex records when you do get further back.

If you get his birth certificate then you will have his parents' names and can look them up in the 1901 census and you're offf!
