Birth Elizabeth Hickey Oct 11, 1848

Looking for the birth of Elizabeth Hickey who emigrated to Canada about 1881. According to her death registration, she was born Oct 11, 1848.  According to the 1901 Canadian census, she was born in Ireland abt 1859. I don't know where in Ireland she may have been born.

Unfortunately you have several problems here.
Civil registration of Irish births started in 1864 so there will be no birth certificate. For earlier dates you need to search for church records (if they exist) but to do so you need to know both the family's religion and where they lived (parish if not actual townland not just the county or 'Ireland').
Did Elizabeth marry? If so, does her marriage certificate give details of parents, etc.?

Thank you for your information. Elizabeth did marry twice in Canada but neither marriage certificate has been found.  Still looking.  We had a ceremony in Regina, Saskatchewan commemorating the death of her first husband who was accidently shot in 1882 while in the employ of the North West Mounted Police.  There is no personal information in his file however.
