1851/1861 LOOK UP PLEASE-STARNES
« on: Sunday 06 March 05 14:12 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for John Starnes and Elizabeth nee Gorringe, they married in London 18/03/1844 at St Mary Lambeth.  My great grandfather Francis George was born 01/02/1845 at 47 Regency Square, Brighton and the next records I have of them is 1866 when Francis George was married to  Emma Bauckham 22/04/1866 at this time his father John was deceased.  I have looked in the 1861 and 1851 census for London and cannot find this family.  I would like to know if there are any siblings to Francis George.
Marriage certificate for John Starnes does not state a profession, on Francis George Birth Certificate his profession is Billiard Marker and again on Marriage Certificate for Francis George.
This is the only information I have for John, who described himself as John Starnes junior and that his father was also John and a Builder. John and Elizabeth residence at time of marriage was Meads Row.

I have found a death for John in DEC 1852 Brighton, so the family must have been there in 1851, I am waiting for the certificate to arrive, so I will update with any address later.

Thanks to anyone who may be able to help.
Regards
Maggie

Hi Maggie,
Do you have everything you need on the Bauckhams and Starnes now?
Both families are in my tree, my Grandmother was a Bauckham. I have over 43,000 people in my main tree so if you do ever need a hand with anyone please feel free to ask me!
 Kind regards,
Rose
