Hearth Family
« on: Monday 28 September 09 19:06 BST (UK) »
I am looking for anything on the Hearth family. My Grandfather is George Thomas Hearth born October 22, 1900, sisters and brothers unknown, but know that he had some. Great Grandfather is John Hearth, Great Grandmother is Margaret (Haten?) Hearth.
My Grandfather said that he was born in San Bernardino, California, but no birth records are found for him.
I am thinking that My Great Grandparents were from England and migrated to the USA.
If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Cheryl Hearth-Herndon

Hi and welcome to Rootschat

There is no birth registration in England or Wales for a George Thomas Hearth nor any marriage registration for a John Hearth to a Margaret before 1900

Can you tell us why you have posted your request on the Lancashire board - do you have some documentation showing a connection to Lancashire

Hi

Sorry if it is any trouble

No trouble whatsoever - I though possibly the family had returned from the USA and lived in Lancashire as we may have been able to get some info for you

There is this website www.ancestorsonboard.com but I cannot find a John & Margaret Hearth entry that fits the profile of this family

The Hearth surname is not particularly common here in England and in 1901 there were only a total of 109 entries in the whole of England of which 36 were in Lancashire
