I'm wondering if this is the same H. Claypoole I'm looking for, He was in partnership with James Diggle and a Mr. Hardy. They were master bleachers employing about 70 to 80 people

Do the 1861 details given above match what you know about him?

I don't  have anything about him only that my husbands 3 x great grandad was a bleacher and he was in partnership with H. Claypoole and Hardy. I've been  trying to find out about him. From what I know the company was called H. Claypoole and Co to start with.

His name was James Diggle born 25 Aug 1806 in Basford, died 31 Mar 1878 in Loughborough. The 1861 census says he was living with his wife Maria, daughter Ann, sons Joseph and Johnson and grandson James. They lived at Wards End.
James Sr was a Bleacher employing 20 men, 10 women 17 boys and 8 girls.

In 1851 Henry Claypool/Claypole was a Trimmer of hosiery.
The 1861 just shows him as a pawnbroker & bleacher - not as an employer
1871 he is a pawnbroker with 3 assistants
1881 he is a bleacher but not shown as an employer

He died 25.1.1890 & his probate entry just describes him as a bleacher
