I am looking for any information on James Neal born 1849 sherston wiltshire and his wife elizabeth neal (nee fry) married in hullavington on the 23 april 1870 i know that lived in newtown, hullavington in 1901

thank you for that info yes there are a lot of neals from sherston as a neal myself  descendant of harry neal b 1872  died 1942 this gets harder to go back due to the amount of neals in the area

I have info on the neal's from sherston back to the 1600's.if you can get henry and sophia's wedding cert to find out  henry's father i should be able to help.
because there was so many neals i don't have all the children listed that are not in my tree,but should be able to find henry's father and family if you can get a name.

thank you for the offer from the details that i have i believe they were married in 1849 his father was hillier stock neal and grandfather was daniel neal who married a mary hayes in sherston 1768

Mary Hayes and Daniel Neal married 28 DEC 1730,so there might be another generation between hiller and Daniel.

the Daniel Neal that married Mary Hayes was born 1705,his parents were Elizabeth and ambrose Neal(born 1675).

Ambrose's parents were Mary(born 1650)and john Neal(born 1646)

There is a Sherston site on Yahoo groups with trees for Neals. There are lots of Neals in Sherston.

Ambrose Neal appears to be one of my ancestors, one of the trees on the site gives a further four generations back from him.
