Hello    I have this marriage of Henery Wait and Grace Ashley 12 Jun 1728 Rye Sussex  I assume St Mary's  They are the parents of Mercy Waite B. 1734  all this from A*******   Am interested in siblings of Mercy,  Witnesses to marriage banns or license  Thank you very much    LizR

Had a look through the Sussex Marriage Index to see if it listed any further info to your marriage of 1728 in Rye - sorry there is none because it does not even list that marriage either under Waite or Ashley

Thanks Chris    When I asked for Philip Clarks bap. approx 1733 when one of you went to the ESRO answer came back that a big chunk of the parish records for Rye St Mary were untranscribed.    So does this mean that only the LDS film of PR  has Rye records   I've been on lots of sites trying to buy a CD of Rye St Mary  No luck.   Thanks  for all your work and especially for Rootschat.  I've learned so much reading the posts  LizR
