Lower Slate Street, *Completed* Thanks!

I understand that Welcome Street, Morriston is now known as Lower Slate Street.

My GreatGrandparents, (Evan & Margaret Rees) & family were living at No 18 Welcome Street on the 1881 Census for Wales.

I would love to have a photo of Number 18, (if its still there) & wonder if anyone on here who lives locally would be kind enough to take one for me please?

WexDor, - I've tried Google 'Streetview', but it doesn't seem possible to get a decent pic from it. I tried sending it to my email, but that doesn't work, also tried printing & then scanning...but just ended up with a very poor quality pic:-( Perhaps its just me...(I'm not too good with new technology:-)

I think that Number 18 is the white painted house on the end of the terrace, - but its tricky zooming in on the house numbers...I seem to keep whizzing back up to the roof!!

Thanks for your time & trouble, - it is soooo much better than the indistinct image that I got from Google

I'm having difficulty imagining how my G/Grandparents & 7 children all fitted in there though...it only looks like a 2-bedroomed house!!

I suppose they crammed in somehow, there were reports going back last year with 14 polish people living in a house on Crown Street (Next one over!)
