Hi

This feels a bit like 20 questions.
I think it really would be a lot easier and quicker if we could just have the information you know then there wouldn't be any danger of us wasting anytime finding information that you already have.

Question 1

Since you know this information (from back in 2006)

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=4bf583eb3cd8de427359cbd87af01b18&topic=191800.msg944859

Have you searched for this family on the 1911 census?

http://www.1911census.co.uk/

Because of copyright reasons you must search yourself you cannot ask for a look up on Rootschat. The family appear to be in the Southwark area.

Have you checked on websites like GenesReunited to see if any descendants are researching the Dorans?

Regards

Valda

Hi al b

You need to buy it from the General Register Office

www.gro.gov.uk

You have been given all the necessary ordering information; names, year, quarter, registration district, volume and page.

They send certificates worldwide.

Without the cert, you won't know who they claimed their fathers to be.

There are 2 similar entries on the IGI at www.familysearch.org but they could be entries from a banns book as the dates are different.
