Letter delivered 64 days late.
Letter sent to girl by Charles Fleming posted to woman only idetified as "dearest" on March 20th 1945.It's on American Red Cross paper it never reached destination,envelope was damaged.It was delivered to USA airbase Lakenheath Suffolk in new envelope via Royal Mail.
There was a 2 page letter with a photo of Charles,a picture of his regiment and a snap of him in Florence Italy.Letter gives details of a milatary camp or possibly a hospital in Italy it appears to be a very chatty letter.The RAF Commander at Lakenheath said it should be returned to family.
Thought this might be of interest to someone.
There is a shot of his photo but not his regiment in paper.
