Enefer christening records
« on: Sunday 18 October 09 23:57 BST (UK) »
Hi there

Some time ago Chris  helped me out with some queries on Enefers.  Now need help with a couple more.

Elizabeth Jane Enefer b.1866 died 1867
Arthur Griffis Enefer b.1873 June, died 1873 September
Frederick Enefer b.1875 December, died 1875 December
Augustus Frederick Enefer b.1899 June, died 1900 December
Charles b.1905 Oct-Dec, died 1905

As you can see all died in infancy,.but I don't know the parents.  Other than birth certs for all of them, would christening/burial records give the names?

grateful for any help

Hi corndolly

Unfortunately my baptism records for Hastings and in particular the surname Enefer cover the period from 1784 to 1858 so cannot look up your baptisms.
The parents that have all the entries from 1847 to 1858 are Phillip Samuel & Ann Enefer , Labourer and then Railway Porter and Phillip and Ann Enefer Fisherman and Railway Porter - I suspect they are the same couple.

So it is most likely they are the parents of some of them - but a look in later baptism registers to those I have would answer that question
